The traditional imo shochu is made from the ‘Koujuku-imo’ we developed using our original technology. You will be surprised as the fragrant aroma (like that of lychee) fills your mouth. The product features a sweet and mellow taste and a crispy aftertaste. The design concept is to make it possible to enjoy the fragrant aroma and the meal together from the beginning to end. The aroma becomes more intense when diluted with strong carbonated water.
‘Koujuku-imo’ ・・・ We developed it independently by multiplying the components which bring out an abundant amount of aroma. DAIYAME is marked by a fragrance like that of fresh lychee coming from the monoterpene alcohol (MTA) contained in large amounts in Koujuku-imo.

Lychee-like Aroma Gets the Highest Praises Across Borders
2019 saw the crowning of our shochu with the highest award of the shochu category, Trophy, at the International Wine & Spirits Competition (IWSC), revered as one of the world's three major alcoholic beverage contests. In 2020, the International Spirits Challenge (ISC) bestowed with the highest Double Gold award in the shochu category. 2023 saw another triumph, featuring our shochu winning the Double Gold Medal in the shochu category at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC), thereby reaching the highest class in all three of the world's major spirits competitions.
IWSC
One of the world's most prestigious alcoholic beverages competitions held annually in London, UK. Organized in 1969 with the aim of improving the quality of beverages and market expansion. Categories including wines, spirits, and whiskeys are judged by distinguished international juries.
ISC
A world-renowned, annual distilled spirits competition hosted by the British liquor magazine, Drinks International. Categories include whiskey, brandy, tequila, gin, vodka, and shochu, which are judged by blind tasting.
SFWSC
Started in 2000, one of the world's top spirits competitions is held annually in San Francisco, USA. Entries from around the world are judged in rigorous blind tastings by experienced spirits industry professionals.
